Caring deeply for the environment and wanting to leave a better planet for our children, we have launched one of Canada's first lines of fully compostable coffee bags! The compounds and films used to produce the bags comply with both American and European compost standards (EU 13432 and ASTM D6400) and are certified for both home and industrial composting.
Compostable materials go a step beyond biodegradable materials by breaking down into natural components and becoming a part of healthy soil.
100% Compostable Stand Up Pouches
The stand-up pouches with zipper closures are made from a remarkably durable bio-based and fully compostable coextrudent film. The pouch is 100% compostable, bio based, and non GMO. Materials used to produce this pouch comply with ASTM D6400 and EN13432 for home and industrial composting. Compost these like any other organic waste.
Compostable Cellophane Bags
While conventional plastic stays in landfills for centuries, these eco-friendly compostable cello bags are made of certified compostable biofilm to reduce the impact on our planet. Our cello bags are 97 per cent renewable content (ASTM D6866 Carbon Testing) and meet the European EN 13432 and American ASTM D6400 composting norms for CA and other states.
Are PURE Labels™ 100% Compostable?
PURE Labels™ is the only certified compostable pressure-sensitive adhesive label. The entire label is certified compostable, as well as the adhesives.
Is the Adhesive Compostable?
Compostable permanent acrylic adhesive. It is a vegan adhesive carefully formulated to include a high content of renewable materials and natural raw materials. Complies with international compost standard ASTM D6868.
Recycled FSC Packing Tape
The FSC or Forest Stewardship Council certifies that the paper products that make up our custom packaging tape are sourced from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly and sustainably. Furthermore, the tape itself is made from 100% recycled content and is water-activated, meaning that the surface isn’t coated in wax to prevent sticking—another environmental benefit.
We print our eco-friendly packing tape with soy inks, an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum based inks. Soy-based inks are made from soybeans, which is a renewable resource, and printing with these inks produces more vibrant colors, and does not leave behind petroleum based products while decomposing. Soy inks also have low levels of VOCs, which reduces air pollution during the printing process.
